Hey! My name is Lauren Jortberg (LoJo or Lo), and I am a professional cross-country ski racer. I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. I was basically born on skis, shuffling around the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. My love for cross-country skiing and the outdoors blossomed while chasing my family at Devil's Thumb Ranch and Snow Mountain Ranch. And now I'm lucky enough to spend my time working hard to be one of the best skiers in the world!
My love for the outdoors, skiing, and pushing myself ignited after my first international start for the US Ski Team in Sweden in 2015. My path to World Cup ski racing took some turns as I worked my way to a degree in environmental science from Dartmouth College while competing on the NCAA circuit. In my collegiate career, I earned 3x D1 All-American honors and 10+ top 20s at the World Junior Championships, U23 World Championships, and European Championships. In 2020, I suffered a season-ending crash, leading to sitting out my senior season at Dartmouth. In the summer of 2020, I received back and ankle surgery. Since 2020, I've returned to international ski racing, starting my first World Cup in Lahti, Finland, in 2022. After my first World Cup start in 2022, I've been racing on the World Cup circuit for Team USA. Since 2022, I've started 30 World Cups, highlighted by my first Top-20 in Canmore with 19th place. Now I live and train in Mont Saint-Anne, QC, Canada!

ABOUT MEI was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. I grew up chasing my parents and big sister in the rocky mountains. At a young age, I realized my love for cross-country skiing and pursued my dreams of NCAA D1 collegiate ski racing at Dartmouth College. While at Dartmouth, I studied Environmental Science, and after my ski racing career, I'm looking to delve into a career in sustainability. After graduating in June 2020, I moved to Bozeman, Montana where I joined the Bridger Ski Foundation Pro Team. In June 2022, I headed back out East to join the SMS T2 Team in Stratton, Vermont.
